San Diego House Cleaning (III) – Should I Use Eco Friendly Products?
The more you are involved in house cleaning, the more you understand that using chemical based products for mopping your floor, disinfecting your sink and washing your dishes is not the correct way to do it. You constantly think about ecology, health and protecting your family. No matter how important keeping your home really clean is after all, you still don’t want to risk, since there are so many possible diseases and illnesses out there (like allergies, asthma and other respiratory problems) that you don’t even want to think about. Our surrounding environment is being directly affected by our actions, by the way we do things, by the stuff we use when doing them. However, it mostly has to do with chemistry and pollution of this Earth and believe it or not, when you are using ecological friendly products to clean your house you contribute to a longer life and existing of this Earth! Even if it was during my last month of cleaning my San Diego house when I realized why going green is so important, it remained in my life forever and I see no reason not to follow it till end, when possible.
The use of ecologically clean products in cleaning your house is highly advisable, both by global warming specialists and the government itself. If you don’t take action, nothing will happen, because the action of each individual citizen living on this planet matters a lot. While there are plenty more reasons for the formation of the carbon footprint on our planet, the proper usage of correct eco-friendly products when doing house cleaning is still important. So, it doesn’t matter if you are working in maid service company or just do your own housekeeping maintenance, you still need to think about what makes a difference. If there is an option for you to enjoy a sparkling, shiny and clean house and contribute to the cleanliness of the whole environment, than why not go for it? Small steps need to be taken in order to achieve a final big goal and I honestly recommend you doing so. Besides going for low fuel emission vehicles, selecting safe eco friendly house cleaning products is also important.
Make a change by making a choice
The best way to take action on something is to directly do it, without any hesitation. This way you can be a part of the change without accumulating too much attention on yourself. While this might sound really not so important, in comparison with what big factories that simply kill the surrounding forests and lakes, the use of eco friendly products for maintaining your house clean is as well going to contribute to this whole thing. You should not try to protect the use of chemical based substances saying that it’s difficult and time consuming to produce eco free products, because most of these can be easily found and acquired in most local hardware stores and supermarkets, especially all over the place in big and highly developed countries like United States of America. I remember we had that very big store of house cleaning appliances in San Diego and you could find everything you could ever need for having a shiny house and a happy family (if cleaning was the decisive factor of happiness).
A lot of you might also say that buying these products which are ecologically clean might be ten times more expensive than getting those which are chemical based. Well, this might have been true like twenty years ago, when the creation of these ecological products was just at the beginning. However, nowadays, most of these are even more accessible than before and people are happy to use these when possible. If you have several free minutes and know what shopping on the internet and offline as well is all about you are going to realize that the large variety of eco friendly products is in fact quite competitive and is starting to take over the chemical based market when it comes to house cleaning. Doesn’t this sound really interesting? I believe that even if normal (traditional cleaners) and dish washing detergents that we all got used to might cost several dollars more I’ll still go for the eco ones, especially after my several months chemical based house cleaning in San Diego. At the end of this period I started to feel pretty sick and my skin was so dry that I simply wanted to forget everything and never touch those liquids ever again in my life. The health dangers of using chemical products is also high. Remember cancer, the large variety of allergies and multiple other respiratory problems that you can cause yourself and your family as well.
You should use eco friendly house cleaning products because they are quite easy to stop nowadays and basically all of them (I guess) have this mark, stamp or eco seal of approval which assures their quality and predestination. It’s important to realize that no everyone can produce their own house cleaning solutions and sell them. Before something like this happens you have to be approved in several instances by certain Federal Agencies and Institutions. Don’t forget about this. Would the government approve eco friendly products designed for house cleaning which can harm their citizens? I don’t really think so? Do you? Eco friendly house cleaning products as alternatives to chemical based ones
The biggest frustration that people are dealing with nowadays is the fact that they actually have to change something in their life and sometimes they are too lazy to admit it. Come on guys; let’s make this world a better place. You can also contribute! Doesn’t this feel awesome?! I know the feeling, you wake up one morning and before doing the dish or the floor wash you look at your dried hands and ask yourself how much is this going to last? This is the perfect moment to make the decision about going green and to get dressed and go directly to the supermarket and get these eco friendly house cleaning alternatives! But please bare in your mind that I’m not talking about the usual cleaning products; I want everyone to get rid of chemicals and find alternatives for these. Only in such a way it is going to be possible to make a change in this world and I’m positively sure that somewhere in the bottom of your heart you always want to make this change!
Supermarket eco products VS homemade eco products
I don’t really thing that this matters a lot, as long as they are both ecologically friendly and do not harm your family, your house and the surrounding environment. The thing is that no matter what most of you think, it is still going to be quite a big problem for you to prepare your own eco friendly cleaning products if you have no idea how it is done. However, plenty of interesting information can be found on the internet today so doing a little bit of investigation before starting to complain will radically change your way of thinking; and you’ll be surprised by the multiple things that you already have ready in your own house, waiting for their contribution to the cleaning of your place. Now, pay attention! Do you have baking soda, vinegar, washing soda, and many other groceries somewhere in your house? These are the products that we are talking about and most of them can be used to clean and disinfect things around. Do you know that lemon juice is a great cleaner because of its contained acid? By doing your own homemade eco friendly products you can also save some money, in comparison with purchasing ready-made ones from the supermarket. Come on, don’t be lazy, go green, at least in house cleaning maintenance!
Using eco friendly house cleaning products is an affair that could gather all your family and contribute to spending more time together. In the world that we are living, everyone’s got problems related to their family safety and security. Changing the products that you use to clean your house is a wonderful way to educate your children about the important of keeping the surrounding environment safe. My kids for example were absolutely astonished when they discover that there are instances when using apple vinegar I possible instead of chlorine based bad smelling bleach cleaner. However, the San Diego cleaning days are over and I have a maid doing all the cleaning right now. However, I don’t see any serious problems since she agreed to use only ecologically clean products that don’t have any secondary effects both on the health of my family and the medium itself, especially when keeping our place shiny and clean!
